NAMA Car Wash

Music Association car wash

Stop by Kittredge Elementary on Saturday, May 3, for a sudsy serenade at the North Andover Music Association car wash. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., student musicians will wash cars while the NAHS pep band provides musical entertainment.

The $5 suggested donation per car wash will go towards supporting new instruments, music and travel for North Andover’s student musicians.

The NAMA car wash will be at Kittredge Elementary School, 601 Main Street, North Andover on May 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

That's us!Well, our band held a car wash today, I guess we should check the weather next time because it was cold and raining, but at least it wasn’t windy. Last year we made $800, today we made $400. I stood out on the corner of the intersection blasting the four pep band tunes I knew over and over and over (I really should memorize more of them). Later on a few more pep bandies cam and we played favorites such as Give Me Some Lovin’, Hold on I’m Comin’, Dirty Deeds, and a few others. Sophia, Caroline, and Hannah did a good job keeping the spirit up (“Are you kidding me? It’s wicked sunny out! It’s not cold!”) while the rest of us were just like “Brr, My hands are numb!”. It was certainly a unique experience, I must give it that!
