I’ve finished the blue globe! (I actually finished it a while ago, but didn’t post it until now.)

Origami Staircase!

September 2, 2008

Well… My origami shelf has died. It hasn’t been updated in a while and so has collected pencils, car keys, a deck of cards, and drill charts. So I started a new project, an origami staircase!

I bought the book Floral Origami Globes a while ago and have been making them on and off ever since! There was no more space on the shelves, so my mom suggested I hang them up. So I did! Here are the pictures:

Lots of Little Things Happened Today…

June 13, 2008

Let’s see…

  1. I edited our Global Thought project. It’s fantastic! You could almost say it looks professional! I hope we can get some more scenes filmed on monday. We’re moving so slowly right now. It seems like every day there’s at least one person missing from our group.
  2. I did not get a CAT scan, I got an x-ray, except this time I was standing up with my feet flat and my legs locked instead of laying down. From what I can tell my legs look pretty even! But we’ll see what the radiologist says.
  3. I’m ordering another, much more complex origami book entitled Floral Globes by Tokomo Fuse. So you’ll be sing a lot more origami soon!
  4. I was just told to say “Your mother was a pheasant plucker” ten times fast. I refused.
  5. I just found out that I have NYSO auditions tomorrow morning! That was unexpected. I’m just going to use the pieces I prepared for BYSO.

That’s my day, how was yours?

Origami Shelf

June 1, 2008

Today I’ve made two more pieces to go along with everything else. There’s a neat little knotology ball also known as a “little turtle” (3/4’th of a ball actually, because I got lazy), and a cube with little square-like thingies protruding from it. I forget the actual name because I’ve lost the diagrams.

Origami Shelf

May 31, 2008

My brother and I are competing for who has the best origami shelf, but first some background.

When I was 6 there was an origami studio in Haverhill called Origamido. It had the coolest origami lining its walls! I loved the place, and took a origami lesson with the guy who ran it. I was obsessed for, like, a year and bought at least 15 origami books. That’s why I’m good at folding paper.

I would say that I’m in the lead at the moment, here is a picture of one of my pieces.

I’ll upload more later, when Flickr decides to cooperate…
